Working alongside Almond Family Pubs and Robinsons Brewery, this refurbishment reimagines Puss in Boots as a contemporary hospitality destination while retaining the warmth and character that have made it a valued part of the local community. The project reflects a shared vision to enhance the guest experience through thoughtful design, carefully balancing modern comforts with the timeless appeal of a traditional British pub.

The design centres around a transformed bar area, where rich timber panelling introduces warmth and depth, complemented by antique mirrors that reflect light and reinforce the pub’s sense of heritage. Brass detailing has been incorporated throughout, adding refinement and visual interest while remaining sympathetic to the building’s established identity.

Within the dining areas, a carefully curated palette of materials and finishes creates cohesion and comfort. Luxurious upholstery, thoughtfully selected flooring and layered lighting work together to establish a series of inviting spaces that encourage guests to relax and linger. The layout has been subtly refined to improve circulation and functionality while preserving the informal atmosphere expected of a neighbourhood pub.

Drawing inspiration from Stockport’s rich architectural and industrial heritage, the interior combines timeless materials with contemporary detailing. Natural textures, warm tones and carefully crafted joinery create a setting that feels both familiar and elevated, enhancing the guest experience while celebrating the building’s local character.
